Finally...the final podcast!

I am thrilled for this to be complete. I have a newfound respect for all the EMAC people in the world. It was an enlightening experience to say the least.

Brandi, Ashley and I always have a blast taping our videos and this time around was no exception. We were together way too long, but once we actually started working it went pretty fast. I think we might have learned one or two things, so we had much fewer stops and starts. And we finally used one of our colleague's very good idea to use a laptop as a teleprompter. This saved us so much time.

THe editing process was surprisingly simple for me this time around as well. I am NOT a fan of Macs and I will never own one. THey are not nearly as user-friendly as they are so often touted to be. Thankfully, though, the one I was working on hung in just long enough for me to complete my project. Not so thankfully, it seems that at least one of the three of us has some kind of major technology problem while editing every time. So, I'm ending the podcast series on a vaguely negative note. However, as you can see in the podcast, I'm gearing up for graduation and ready to take all this experience with me when I go!

Jannibah, it was a well done presentation!!! it sounds like an interesting study to implement! Do you plan to do a thesis on this topic?
in terms of the technical side of the podcast, I have noticed that two portions of the video were repeated twice, unless you did it on purpose! It was an interesting idea with actual dressing up for the graduation!!

Jannibah you created an enjoyable podcast. You have a very interesting topic. I loved the graduation outfit. It was funny to see it progress throughout the cast, and you brought it all together well at the end. I too am ready for graduation.
Your podcast was framed very well, and the sound was clear. I enjoyed the music you chose, and I liked that you used the same music throughout the podcast. All the slides were relevant to your cast and helped with the understanding of the information you provided. The only flaw I saw was at the end of the podcast when you repeated the scene with Brandi messing with your outfit. Other than that you did an excellent job. I have enjoyed watching your casts this semester.

Jannibah, great job on the final podcast! The graduation outfit progression was hilarious and the music was awesome. It sounds like a very interesting topic that you are covering and you covered everything very well. Like Brandon mentioned the only problem I saw was the repeat scene of Brandi hooding you. Like you I'm ready for graduation and just think it's only 3 weeks away!!!

Jannibah,
Nice job on podcast #4. You have made a great improvement on your filming and editting skills since podcast #1. Your information was good. I think that you've got some great reasearch that will yield good results. The editting was good. I especially enjoyed the music - very peppy!

Nice job and congrats and being done!

Great music! It immediately got my attention. There was a short gap just before you started your introduction. The slide transitions were good in summarizing key points; the background used on the slides provided a good contrast.
Well expressed; you know your topic well. Good voice quality throughout, although a little fast paced at times. You gave excellent examples of your literature review specifically referring to prior research. I like the transition of your attire, especially to the graduation gown. Brandi coming in twice and putting the hood on you was clever. Congratulations on your graduation and your future career in PR.

Jannibah--

Interesting topic and neat presentation. Your use of slides was good. I liked the summary of key points. It was different from the typical use of slides as speaking points. Summarizing your key points also let the progress toward your graduation show through too. Your pace was also good; quick enough to keep attention, but slow enough not to lose the viewer. Well produced and edited podcast.

Jannibah, good final podcast. I liked all of your wardrobe changes. I think we are all ready for graduation. Anyways, I really liked the James Brown in the slide transitions and the intro and outro. Your podcast was more interesting than some of the rest because it was humorous and kept my attention. Good luck with the final project.

Scott.

Jannibah,
What can I say, you have done a great job! I especially enjoyed your location- cute place. :)

No, you really did a good job discussing ethnic oriented media and adoption. All of your podcasts were beneficial in leading up to the research you are proposing. You are obviously comfortable with your content and you do have a great camera presence.

I also enjoyed your theme of graduation in the podcast, 16 days CAN'T WAIT! I enjoyed it the night we filmed too- hilarious!

The only thing I noticed is that your methodology repeats in the end... I don't know if this is iMovie trying to mess with it or what.

Good job!

Jannibah,

I like the entry showing photo clips for your research topic. It was really good to see how your topic flows with our graduation outfit. I enjoyed music too!

It was well-organized with key-concepts. One thing I found was that some videos were repeated; method section and the scene Brandi hooding you.

Congrats your graduation...but I'm sad that I cannot see you after this semester!!!

Overall, you did great job!!!

Jannibah,

Nice job on podcast #4. You have a very interesting topic; I personally am interested in the adoption side since this is something that I am studying, although mine research is on adoption of medical equipment, but race could possibly play a role in that as well. I was wondering if you planned on looking at other things within race like income, location and even gender. I think these all could add to your research. Although, you may not be doing much since you are graduating.
With the podcast itself, I like the “getting dressed for graduation” theme (if you will) taking place throughout your video. I also thought the lighting and audio were great, and you seemed very relaxed in front of the camera. As others have mentioned the only problems I saw were the repetition of clips. I think your methodology was repeated three times and the scene with Brandi repeated twice.
I also liked your choice of music during the slides, which were also nice because rather than read exactly what is on the slide, you give a brief points and then explain the rest.

Good job and congrats on graduating.

I loved the pictures you used at the beginning and I liked that you slowly put on your graduation regalia. Though Brandi hooding you was a little distracting, especially when she did it twice. But you presented a lot of great information and I think your topic is relative and useful. I would be interested in what you found in the focus group. Good job!

Jannibah,
I think you did a great job with your last podcast. I'm sorry that you hate macs so much, I've never had the issues that people in class have had. I think you did a good job of keeping the podcast fun while still informative. You did have one scene repeated twice, but it was no big deal. Overall, good job!

Hi Jannibah.First off, great upbeat opening and ending! Can't go wrong with Brown. I liked your choice of topic and having seen youe earlier podcasts I see that you are quite passionate about it and are going to delve into detail about it. I liked the explanations you gave. The lighting and framing was very good. You spoke well and I could follow what you said easily. I liked the gradual metamorphosis into a graduate. You got me excited about our graduation as well! Great job, well done!

I thought you did an excellent job on your final podcast. Throughout the semester your podcasts have consistently kept my interest. I like the graduation outfit clip..quite funny! Your slides were well done and worked well to summarize your key points. The one thing I noticed was the clip with Brandi was repeated at the end. Overall, I thought this was your best podcast, loved the music, and I have enjoyed watching your podcasts throughout the semester.
